Felipe Pérez has dedicated his life to serving the families and communities of District 1. His leadership on the Firebaugh City Council and his consistent advocacy for rural communities demonstrate a lifelong commitment to fairness, opportunity, and dignity for all residents. Felipe understands the challenges faced by families across Fresno County—not from the sidelines, but from decades of hands-on public service.

Delivering Education and Workforce Opportunity Now
I believe education and workforce training are essential to economic mobility. That belief is backed by action.
In the last four months, the work we have done on the ground has helped train more than 400 community members in Western Fresno County in computer literacy, with many continuing their education. Right now, we are running a class of 60 community members at West Hills College Firebaugh, helping people gain skills that lead to real opportunity. This work shows that meaningful change does not have to wait — it can start now.
Economic Justice and Cost of Living
Families in Fresno County pay some of the highest PG&E rates in the state, often higher than Sacramento and many areas of the Bay Area. Combined with job loss and low wages, this is putting enormous pressure on working families.
My focus is on creating better-paying jobs than those available today, expanding real-world career-focused workforce training, and bringing good jobs closer to where people live. Our communities deserve dignity, stability, and an economy that works for them — not against them.
Fighting for Transportation Equity and Measure C
Transportation is about access — access to jobs, education, healthcare, and opportunity. That is why I have been deeply involved in pushing for a better, fairer Measure C transportation plan.
Over the past year, a group of us organized residents to demand safer roads, better streets, and reliable public transportation. We brought 350 community members together in San Joaquin, the smallest incorporated city in Fresno County, so working families could voice their needs directly. Measure C must finally work for rural and underserved communities, not leave them behind.
